Indoor Boat Storage
We don’t have open yard space, so we store all boats inside one of our standard units, out of the sun and rain. The units go up to 6 × 3 m, with a 3 metre high ceiling. They’re built from reinforced concrete panels, and you lock the roller door yourself. We also have a few special spaces for bigger boats, but they’re very limited. Either way, contact us before you book. We run a budget facility: secure and practical.
Getting Your Boat Ready for Storage
- Rinse off the salt and flush the motor with fresh water
- Dry out the bilge and leave hatches slightly open, so damp doesn’t build up over a Cape winter
- Disconnect the battery, or take it home and keep it charged
- Check the trailer tyres and use a breathable cover
- Rinse the trailer with fresh water after every launch, because salt rusts the springs and bearings

Store an outboard tilted down, so water drains out of the gearcase and cooling system. Flush it with fresh water first.
